GANNET RESTORATION

Gannet progress - August 09 - Museum volunteers have been receiving training from the British Aircraft Preservation Council in conjunction with the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.  The training is part of the National Aviation Heritage Skills Initiative. Four training sessions have taken place thus far, in April and July and have included, an Introduction to Aviation Heritage, Corrosion Control, Aircraft Structures and Projects and Planning. Volunteers who attended  the courses have all received certificates of training and have received certificates of accredition from City and Guilds.
